Backstory

“The true alchemists do not change lead into gold: they change the world into words.”  ~ Williams H. Gass

And that’s exactly what I’ve always done. Even when I was young, I saw the world not in terms of the way I perceived it through thought – but the way it sounded through words. It was my way of shaping my reality into something that always resonated with me. It’s how I formed my story – which essentially formed me.

It started out with an obsession with rhyming games that soon turned into an affair to remember with words. Poetry became my lens through which I saw the world. It made so much sense to me to do so because regardless of the experience, nothing was more beautiful, vulnerable, passionate, or heartbreaking than it was through the written word.

And I still feel that way. I eventually parlayed my obsession into a career that has spanned more than 20 years and includes content and branding for some of the world’s most recognizable brands.

And I have worked with companies on everything from starting up to going public.

In a world where attention spans are fading and digital media is dominating, what you say and how you say it is becoming even more crucial to effective marketing.
